About Stephanie Fessel

The Everyday Me: Okay here is the real deal… there is a right way that bios are supposed to be done. I have attached my professional bio for those of you who want to read more about my credits and credentials.  However, I would like to share with you a glimpse of the “Everyday Me” because I believe that people want to work with approachable, likable people similar to themselves.

My Background: After several years of a career in retail management and sales training, I decided to take some time off to stay home with my two sons when they were younger.  Once they started school, I decided to get my real estate license.  I quickly fell in love with this business and I have been successfully selling and listing real estate in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area since 2001.  In addition, I have used my previous management and sales training experience to train and coach real estate professionals for the past 8 years as the Director of Career Development for Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS in the Carolinas Region.

My husband: I give my husband credit for teaching me everything I know about real estate.  He was a top-producer in the real estate industry for 30 years.  He, like me, has the same passion for this business and continues to give back to the real estate industry in his current role as Director of Business Development for a firm in the Charlotte metro area.  Fun fact:  My husband and I once appeared together on the popular A&E hit show Sell This House as open house attendees.

My Kids: I have been blessed with two amazing teenage boys and a beautiful step-daughter.  This year, my oldest son will be a freshman in high school, my youngest son will be in middle school, and my step-daughter and her family purchased their first home to house our first grandson and their two dogs.  You can often find us hanging out together at a basketball court, soccer field, swimming pool, or any other sporting event.  And, we just enjoy playing around in the backyard with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Prince Harry.

My Passions:  I am passionate about my family.  They are my first priority because without them, nothing else in life really matters.  We are active members of Mecklenburg Community Church in the University area.  For fun, I love to run.  Running re-energizes me and affords me the opportunity to meet other people.  Running allows me to partake often in another one of my passions, which is food!  I love to eat and my friends and family often comment on how much I love to eat – embarrassing!  And, finally I love to travel.  My most favorite travel spot is to any tropical destination.  I love the beach and the sound of ocean waves crashing on the shore on a hot sunny day.  Just don’t forget the guacamole and a cool drink in my hand.

Stephanie Fessel of Charlotte Housing NewsMy Everyday Life: I feel like a success in my everyday life if I get through the day having spent time with the Lord, exercised in some way, had a laugh with one of my kids, had clean socks in my husband’s drawer when he needed them, made a new friend, or made a difference in someone’s day.

My Philosophy: I am an education junky!  I believe as a real estate professional, we should extend our knowledge and experiences with others, especially when someone is starting out new in their real estate career.  I think it’s important to give back to this industry.  Ray Kroc of McDonald’s has a great saying:  ”As long as you’re green, you’re growing.  As soon as you’re ripe, you start to rot.”  What a great way of  looking at education.  This is why I have invested the time to earn professional designations.  I believe the consumer deserves the best real estate experience and a trusted advisor to help them navigate through today’s challenging housing market.

My Professional Designations: Because this industry changes a lot, you want a well qualified agent who can answer your questions and be a trusted resource to you throughout your real estate transaction.  The designations listed below show I have invested the time and money to gain additional knowledge I believe to be critically important in today’s market.  Most likely this will be the biggest financial decision you will make as an adult, so choose an agent who has invested in keeping up to date on current legislation, contract changes, and real estate commission laws.
